I apply statistical models and other machine learning methods to complicated data sets. My goal in computational biology is to translate unanswered biology questions into math problems that computers can solve.
I am a bioinformatics scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
I completed my doctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Katherine Pollard at the University of California San Francisco and The J. David Gladstone Institutes. Prior to that, I was a bioinformatics student at UC Santa Cruz (go slugs!).
